Anti–corruption is the activity of anti-corruption entities within their powers to prevent corruption, including the formation of an anti-corruption culture in society, the identification and elimination of causes and conditions conducive to the commission of corruption offenses, as well as the identification, suppression, disclosure and investigation of corruption offenses and elimination of their consequences.
In case of violation of anti-corruption requirements by the employer, the following liability measures are
provided:
Article 680. Failure of the heads of state bodies to take measures to combat corruption
Non-acceptance by the heads or responsible secretaries or other officials, determined by the President
of the Republic of Kazakhstan, of state bodies, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, other
troops and military formations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, within their powers, of measures to
eliminate violations of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on combating corruption or in
relation to subordinate persons guilty of corruption offenses, or the adoption of the specified measures
in violation of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on combating corruption, or failure to
provide relevant information to the state revenue authorities at the place of residence of the
perpetrators -
entails a fine in the amount of one hundred monthly calculation indices.
Criminal liability is provided for by Chapter 15 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
Chapter 15. CORRUPTION AND OTHER CRIMINAL OFFENSES AGAINST THE INTERESTS OF THE CIVIL
SERVICE AND PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION.
